Kaeden’s been super needy and clingy (not “klinky”, mom! :)) these past couple of days. I’m not sure why, but he’s now doing the “grab onto my legs while I try to clean the kitchen” type of thing.
So, today, I decided to take him to join Kris’ class at the science centre. The kids again, flocked to see him, giving him so much attention and love. There were also some parents from the 5th grade class there too, and it was a great time for me to be able to visit with them.
The science centre is definitely some place I’ll go again. It’s carpeted, spacious, and best of all, free for teachers! :) And Kaeden just has a ball there.
(Did I mention air conditioning too???)

- I was once on the path of a (possibly successful) business career before I got sidetracked by a love of teaching. Now, I've "retired" from the workforce and am a stay-at-home mom (read: one income) with two toddlers. We've made some choices so that I can be at home with the kids in one of the most expensive cities in North America. But we're learning along the way that by changing our attitudes and changing how we spend, we can feel like we're living a luxurious life. And we are. We are so blessed. WAY MORE THAN WE DESERVE.
