My Little Walker

My little boy is growing up much too fast. Last Thursday was his first day where he took more than just a few unsteady steps, and only a few days later (today is Monday), he’s wanting to walk around everywhere.  Sigh… it’s very bittersweet.
He’s a smiling fool, happy as a clam when he walks. Today, Popo and I were each holding one of his hands when he decided he no longer needed my support. So, he flung my hand away. Independence – and not even 11 months old yet.
I had to laugh, cause he’s so like the two of us. I’m praying that I’ll be able to let him go, but I wasn’t expecting to have to do that when he’s not even one yet!

Rough Day with a Great Ending

Kaeden woke up today, still feverish. It peaked this afternoon at 40.4C, but thankfully, it went down after we gave him a lukewarm bath. He was so upset, but it’s now 7pm and he’s his usual happy-go-lucky self – and fever-free!
PLUS!!!! He just took his first REAL steps!!! I had a piece of chocolate in my hand, and he kept walking to get it. Not sure what that means for his future – that chocolate or food will be a main source of motivation? :)

Poor Dude

We came back from Kenting this afternoon, and realized that Kaeden had a high fever. Aside from that, he’s his usual happy self, so we think it might be Roseola. If it is that, then he’ll have a high fever for a few more days (3-5 days) before it goes away and he gets a rash. Poor little sick dude.
